Banana Smoothie

BANANA SMOOTHIE

Sometimes when you need a pick me up in the middle of the afternoon or whenever, a banana smoothie is just what I make for my family.   Bananas tend to ripen very fast, so as soon as I see the peel get freckles, I take the peel off and put them in a freezer bag. That way, I can make delicious banana smoothies that provide potassium and a healthy treat.   If you are Lactose intolerant, you can substitute milk with soy milk or almond milk or almond vanilla milk, same yummy results.

Ingredients:

2        Bananas - peeled, frozen and broken in 2 to 3 pieces

1 1/3  Cups of milk - which ever milk you drink

1/2     Teaspoon of powdered cinnamon

1/4     Teaspoon of vanilla extract

If you need to, sweeten to taste.   If I need it, I use bees' honey

HOW TO:

Place milk, cinnamon, vanilla and bananas in blender jar.   Whip, and enjoy

YIELD:   Two large glasses. 8 Oz.
