Mixed Berries Smoothie

MIXED BERRIES SMOOTHIE

There is nothing more refreshing than a natural, fresh or frozen berry smoothie.    You can use your own sweetener and it will not have any preservatives of any kind, just your home made goodness.   I like to use frozen fruit because that way I do not use ice cubes which can dilute the fruit taste, and if the smoothie comes out too thick, well then I have sherbet or use a bit more milk.  If you are lactose intolerant, you can use Soy milk or almond milk or almond vanilla milk.

INGREDIENTS:

1/3  Cup of blueberries - frozen

1/3  Cup of raspberries - frozen

1/3  Cup of strawberries - frozen

2     Cups of milk

1     Teaspoon of vanilla extract

Sweeten to taste with whatever sweetener you normally use

2     Scoops of vanillla ice cream or frozen yogurt - Optional

HOW TO:

In blender jar, pour your milk, vanilla extract and frozen fruit.

I use the ice crush mode, pulsing a few times to chop the fruit, then I use the whip button.

Should the texture be too thick, you can add a bit more milk at a time until drinkable thickness,

or, you can eat it as fruit sherbet.

Enjoy !!

YIELD:   3 Large glasses. 10 Oz.
